Air Foil Demo Summary The objective of the MCD1816 demonstration is to show that two operations are eliminated by machining a die in the hard state.
Process Benefits
Flush Fine (FF) machining of hardened H-13 at 50 HRc from CAD data produces an airfoil forging die that eliminates subsequent benching. FF applied to forging dies typically reduces overall cycle time by 75%. EDM finishing processes are also eliminated.
