During the life of your machine, Makino recognizes the need for various predictive, preventive, routine, and emergency "Life Cycle" services to maximize uptime and to maintain your machine capability. Makino offers the most comprehensive Life Cycle services unmatched in the machine tool industry to insure your machine will provide many years of superior performance and reliability.

Makino offers Machine Performance Audits to identify any deficiencies or areas of opportunity to improve your machine operation. Based on one of these audits, Makino will tailor selected services to meet your needs. These services may include our Preventive Maintenance Program which provides a structured schedule of proactive maintenance activities along with detailed maintenance procedures and recommended service parts to keep your equipment operating efficiently. Or maybe there are worn components that need servicing / replacement which will get the machine operating back at the original OEM specs. With standard predictive and preventive processes developed, the service is performed quickly but thoroughly so the machine can get back into production.

If you need to confirm your machine's accuracy you will benefit from one of our Calibration & Diagnostic Services. This may include laser alignment, laser calibration or ballbar diagnostics.

Our Production Support service provides on site technical support to supplement your production operations. Our experienced Field Service Engineers will fully manage the maintenance and service requirements of your machines, which can then permit you to attend to your core business operations.

Makino also provides Retrofit Option Services that support your machine upgrade requirements ranging from programming support options to high pressure coolant system or probing additions.

For your spindle replacement needs, Makino currently offers complete remanufactured spindles through either a Spindle Exchange Program of Customer Property Rebuild. Under the Spindle Exchange Program, Makino stocks remanufactured spindles so when you need one, your machine down time is minimized by exchanging a newly rebuilt spindle for the damaged spindle (core). Under the Customer Property Rebuild, Makino's Spindle Remanufacturing Service provides quick turnaround for repairs and rebuilds using all new OEM components where required so that the repaired spindle operates at the original OEM specifications. Most models of the spindles are rebuilt in the Mason, Ohio facility ensuring quick turnaround.

In addition, Makino has other supplemental services including Machine Relocation & Refurbishment. During machine relocation, we will coordinate the de-installation from its old site and re-installation at the new site and ensure it operates effectively after the move. If you need a Machine Refurbishment, Makino will provide a comprehensive list of repairs which may include: linear guide, ball screw and axis cover replacement, spindle rebuild, component restoration, filter / lubricant change, laser check, and ball bar diagnostics. Makino can then provide all necessary resources to fully project manage the refurbishment.

Many of the services offered above can be performed on an individual basis, or various Service Contracts can be customized to fit your particular need.
