The five-axis MC1013-5X reduces cycle times while increasing machine tool utilization and part consistency. The MC1013-5X is capable of machining convex or concave kellered surfaces and contoured ribs to tight tolerances, and can accurately machine thin-wall parts with minimal thermal distortion. It can handle normal duty cutting of both ferrous and nonferrous metals, as well as severe duty cutting of high temperature alloys and deep cavities. It creates excellent surface finishes that reduce or eliminate the need for subsequent benchwork. Components that formerly required multiple setups on different machines at conventional spindle speeds and feedrates can be completed in one setup. The ruggedly constructed MC1013-5X features a one-piece meehanite bed with integral hardened and ground guide ways for enhanced precision.
