Makino 5-axis horizontal machining centers
Makino has taken 5-axis machining to a new level. The A66E-5XD 5-axis horizontal machining center can machine complex aerospace parts such as blisks, inducers, impellers, and turbine engine parts—even when milling tough, heat-resistant alloys such as inconel, titanium, and stainless steel—in half the time of conventional 5-axis machining processes.
Makino’s 5-axis horizontal machining center MC1013-5X can machine convex or concave kellered surfaces and contoured ribs to tight tolerances to create thin-wall parts with minimal thermal distortion, even in one setup.
The MCD1516-5XA features multiface indexing of large workpieces—up to 2 meters in diameter and weighing up to 2.3 tons—and simultaneous 5-axis control for high-speed, high-accuracy machining.
The MCD1516-5XA has 0.1 µm scale feedback and thermal stability measure to deliver higher accuracy and longer hours of continuous, high-quality machining.
Configurable for unattended operation, the MAG3 is specifically designed for high-productivity machining of complex aluminum monolithic parts for aerospace. The MAG4 5-axis horizontal machining center reduces both cutting and non-cutting time of structural aerospace pieces, including wingboxes, fuselage sections, rudders, and a myriad of other components.
