Tighter tolerances, better parts

Moving to 5-axis machining permits using shorter tooling, optimizes contact between the tool and part providing ideal cutting conditions, improves stiffness and rigidity, provides less run-out, and improves surface finishes. The transition to a Makino 5-axis vertical machine center can increase productivity, reduce cycle times, decrease costs and even eliminate the need for hand-finishing.

Our high-speed spindle, advanced motion and control technologies offers you unmatched speed, high feeds and the tightest accuracies for the most complex applications. Also, our advanced motion control and proprietary Super Geometric Intelligence 5 (SGI 5) gives you 20% to 60% faster cycle times, improving accuracy and surface finishes.
 
Makino 5-axis CNC milling machines are built to consistently outperform industry standards. While they maintain a target of 50% of stated specifications, in practice they regularly achieve 25% to 35% of the industry prescribed tolerance.  Tighter tolerances, better parts.
